The CICTP proceedings will be published by ASCE, and all the proceedings papers will be indexed via the EI compendex, which can be accessed worldwide. The CICTP series, formerly ICCTP (International Conference of Chinese Transportation Professionals), established by COTA and sponsored by ASCE, is the premier gathering for transportation professionals worldwide, and for those who are interested in contributing to or gaining a profound understanding of transportation development in China and other countries. As the CICTP 2012 hosts and organizers, Beihang University, China National ITS Center and COTA warmly welcome transportation professionals at all levels from academia, industry, and government agencies to participate in and/or contribute to the CICTP 2012.
The CICTP 2012 will address the critical issues and challenges emerging from the development of intelligent multimodal transportation systems. The conference will provide a platform for exchanging and sharing of the international experiences in developing and applying countermeasures and advanced technologies in transportation. In addition to technical sessions, several plenary sessions will be set for internationally prestigious experts and scholars to deliver their talks about the state-of-the-art/practice transport development. Other special forms will be focused on the perspectives that are of great interest to the audience of various backgrounds, including the World Bank Transportation Development Forum, Dean Forum for Chinese University Transportation Schools, Invited Focus Session/Forum*, and COTA Professional Development Forum for Young Scholars and Students. The best paper awards and other technical program awards will be granted to the authors of excellent papers or institutes/enterprises which have made outstanding contributions to the development of transportation systems in China. The 1st China Transportation Research and Technology Exhibition will be also held during the CICTP 2012 to showcase the latest achievements and results of research and practices, which includes the exhibition of innovative and creative research results by graduate students.
* Important Note: Unlike previous ICCTPs, the speakers for the Invited Focus Sessions or Forums for CICTP 2012 will be selected from the authors of the submitted papers. In general, authors without submissions won’t be considered
